Effective Communication

"With few exceptions, highly effective leaders have very strong verbal (and often written) communication skills. They connect with people. Since leadership deals with emotions, energy, and spirit, verbal communication skills have a huge role to play in mobilizing and energizing.”
Jim Clemmer, "Strong Leaders are Strong Communicators"

Tuesday, March 18, 2003 7:00 – 9:00 PM
or
Wednesday, March 19, 2003 9:30 – 11:30 AM

TALK IS NOT CHEAP! Poor communication can create chaos in the workplace and cost money. And it’s not just money that’s wasted: it’s energy, enthusiasm for the job, and relationships as well. Learn how to get your message across in a way that others can hear it, and to articulate difficult issues in a constructive way. In this age of empowerment and shared accountability for the bottom line, everyone must take responsibility for communicating clearly. Effective communication includes creating a comfortable environment and utilizing tools to transform conversations into opportunities for growth and relationship development.

Location: Fort Road Federation, 974 W. Seventh St. Saint Paul, MN 55102

Fee for each workshop: $35.00 Questions? Call (651) 292-6067
