A little about Roslyn
With over 20 years of experience as an educator teaching, directing, training, and developing programming for various non-profit organizations and schools, Roslyn Harmon offers a unique blend of leadership, vision, and knowledge to Dispute Resolution Center. A veteran in Restorative practices, Roslyn previously worked as the Restorative Coach for Osseo School District at North View Middle School where she helped reduce out of school suspensions by 70%, classroom removals by 60%, and office referrals by 50% for students grades 6-8 within two academic years. She has advocated for highly skilled and proficient educators to be trained in restorative and mediation practices to continually repair harm in response to conflict that impedes student, teacher, and daily classroom performance and relationships. As Director of Programming for several years, Roslyn has developed curriculum and stellar instruction for youth leaders in educational organizations such as St. Paul Academy, Providence Academy, Phyllis Wheatley Community Center, Minneapolis Public Schools, St. Paul Charter Schools, and ARTS-Us.
In addition to her extensive background in education, Roslyn is a mental health practitioner receiving her M.A. from Adler Graduate School in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is founder of Circle of Healing providing counseling, healing, and restorative circles around relationships, racial inequity, spirituality, prison reform, and personal empowerment. Roslyn considers herself to be "CreArtive" (a self-developed term that encompasses her wide range of artistic gifts).
